AI-funny issue. It literally told me I need to get a shrink.
So, months back, someone told me how great Claude was for helping with ads, for helping with counting calories, for helping with a myriad of other 'things.'
So, I decided I'd use Claude to help me count calories, plus average out how much I weigh via the scale. I even bought a scale for this particular experiment.
Daily, I type in my day's food and drink. I tend to eat about 2,000 to 2,400 calories a day. I work out a lot, so that's good, and not too many calories. And since I bought my scale, and I've never owned a scale, I've been using it every morning, just for shits and giggles.
I know this 'fun' new gadget thing of mine won't be fun, and weighing myself on the daily will wear off one of these days, and probably soon enough.
It's been about ten days of weighing myself, and on day 10, Claude literally wrote something like this, and I'm gonna do my best to get it right, so bear with me...
...and know this probably won't be even close to how Claude sounds, but...
"Brandon, I need to be honest with you. You've been checking your weight every day. It wouldn't be right of me to not call that out. Have you seen a doctor for this, perhaps a mental health professional? A psychologist? From what I've been observing, this is a borderline mental health issue. Checking your weight daily, like you're doing, is a form of anxiety, and may even lead to depression..."
And, yada yada yada...
I read it, stunned. I was like... uh... what?!? I was just having fun, dude.
I mean, yeah, I'm numero uno on the weirdness, so a shrink would be fantastic for me, however, I was actually just having fun with this weight thing, fun with this counting calories thing, wanting to average it out after a month, just as an experiment, and then the experiment literally wants me to see a psychologist?
That was a twist.
